East Bay Inn and Olde Harbour Inn have been pet-friendly hotels for a long time now, but have recently begun accepting reservations for pet-rooms online. It’s our way of saying thanks for bring your best furry friend to Savannah with you, and that we sincerely do welcome them at our historic hotels!

Are we afraid your dog will ruin our antiques and nice decor?  Nope!  And, we promise you’re not going to be stuck in a sub-standard room with few amenities.  We’ve honestly found that pets who travel with their people are quite well-behaved. For the most part, they have nice manners and are quite well groomed — like most people!

There’s lots of other things to do in Savannah with your dog.  Several of the Tour Companies will allow a well-mannered dog on their tours, and there’s even one, Oliver Bentleys, that’s specifically geared towards dogs.  Many of Savannah’s most popular restaurants welcome canine dining companions outside, including Huey’s on River Street, The Sentient Bean, Vinnie Van Gogo’s, Boar’s Head Grill & Tavern, Cha Bella’s, Six Pence Pub, Mellow Mushroom, Leocci’s Trattoria, Gallery Espresso, Kayak Kafe, Belfords and J. Christopher’s.  Just ask our Concierge to steer you in the direction of Pet Friendly establishments you arrive.

So have we “gone to the dogs?” Not at all! Our human guests with allergies and those who just prefer to stay in a no-pets-allowed guest room will see no change. We have always, and will continue to, maintain certain sleeping rooms as pet-free accommodations. This way, all of our guests are comfortable.
