Carriage Rides are one of the best ways to see Savannah! With our moss-draped oaks, warm summers, and antebellum architecture, Savannah is not meant to be seen from a car. Public Carriage Tours are hugely popular in Savannah, as guests can enjoy riding in a picnic-style covered carriage through America’s first planned city. These public carriages pick up on the North end of Savannah’s Historic District. Public Carriage Tours generally begin on the hour, and run about 50 to 60 minutes in length. As carriages are pulled by live animals, these companies are very careful with the well-being of the horses, and only run at certain times of day. This allows the horses time to rest. We would be happy to advise you of the scheduled tour times. These tours only need to be reserved or scheduled about 24 to 72 hours out. However, during the slower times of the year, you can just walk-up and get a spot on a carriage. $23.00 per person
Taking a Private Carriage Tour ensures that you get a personalized tour that, with advance notice, can be catered to your interests. As a romantic, private Carriage ride is an ideal way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, these are very difficult to schedule at the last minute. We absolutely recommend letting as know as soon as possible, should you be interested in booking a private Carriage Tour.
